Harvest Hollow
★★★★★ 4.5
Harvest Hollow is a calm farming sim with no timers pressuring you to rush. You inherit a run-down plot in a quiet valley and slowly turn it into something alive: crops, animals, a little shop, and friendships with the townsfolk. There's no energy bar nagging you to stop, which I appreciated.
The day-night cycle gives the game a nice rhythm. Mornings are for watering and planting, afternoons for fishing or mining, and evenings for chatting with neighbors. The writing for the villagers is surprisingly warm, and I ended up caring about who I was giving gifts to.
It saves locally and never asks for a connection, so it's a great companion for a quiet evening offline. The art is cozy pixel work that still looks sharp on a big screen.
